Week 18- Our first mid-fi prototype!

Now that was a super transformational week! On Sunday, right before class, we discussed which exact direction are we going to pivot to, and shared each other our thoughts about the best output Tsumi should do right after recognising phone usage. But during the class we realised that the change we wanted to do may take us many steps back, and a lot of research and development work may go to waste, which would defiantly be a hard thing to do, and may even get us off the rode to really helping parents be more present and aware during the time they share with their children.

We decided to stick to the technology we already developed and the research we already did, and change slitley the user interaction and design.

Tsumi will recognise smartphone usage during dinner, and will start spinning around, the longer the use, the faster the spinning gesture. to stop Tsumi from moving around, all family members need to put their attention to it, and place their finger on it. we hope we will help the family be more present and aware of the opportunity to create meaningful interactions with each other!

Check out out our medium fidelity first printed working prototype!
