Week 7+8 - Concrete idea, getting ready for mentoring and Hanuka

Making our need a bit more specific, thinking finally of a physical product and planing the best scenario for our prototype, all of these to prepare ourselves as much as possible for speed mentoring event.

These two weeks started with displaying our scenario. Two things that we have learned from it:

  1. We need to decide what is the specific thing we want to change (not using the phone while eating dinner together.. being more focused one on the other while talking... making better conversations with interesting topics...)

  2. We need to make our scenario more specific, to contain a description of the prototype and the usage of it, and write it in a way that the reader will feel connected to it.

The prototype we imagine so far is some kind of a portable surface which is placed in the middle of the eating table. There is a rail from each individual around the table, and all of those rails connect in the middle of it. In addition, each one gets an avatar. When someone talks, only his rail is fully lightened (aiming all the focus to him). Each time someone tells a thing about his day, his avatar gets a bit closer to the middle (where all the rails connect). When all avatars gets to the centre (and everyone talked about their day and listened to the other family members), something satisfying would happen. The main goal - to make a more profound and flowing conversation, allowing (and encouraging) everyone around the table talk freely and also listen to their family members, making it a more qualitative family time.
